Case Study — CKING Education Foundation: A Website for Impact in Underserved Communities of Egypt
CKING Education Foundation works directly in underserved parts of Egypt to provide schooling, teacher training, and community support. The website redesign aimed to elevate the organization’s credibility, make it dramatically easier for donors and volunteers to act, and — most importantly — to tell the real stories of children and families served on the ground.
This case study describes the strategy, design choices, technical work and early outcomes from the new site launch.

challenges we’ve faced
-
Low engagement: The previous site had outdated content, unclear donation flows, and low conversion from visitors to donors or volunteers.
-
Weak storytelling: Real program impacts were not showcased in a way that emotionally connected with supporters.
-
Access & device mismatch: Many supporters and local stakeholders access content on low-bandwidth mobile devices; the site needed to perform well on poor connections.
-
Localization: Content required sensitivity to cultural context and the ability to present Arabic and English clearly.
Project goals
-
Build a fast, mobile-first website that works reliably on low-bandwidth connections.
-
Create a clear donation funnel (one-time and recurring) with transparent program-linked options.
-
Make program outcomes and student stories the heart of the site — easy to update via a CMS.
-
Improve accessibility and bilingual support (English + Arabic).
-
Provide analytics and reporting so CKING can measure fundraising and awareness growth.
